Purchase includes one original watercolor portrait on archival watercolor paper. Frame not included. Price does not include sales tax or shipping costs, which are additional and will be added to your order. 

A high-quality, clear, close-up photo from the chest up is required for a great watercolor painting. Please feel free to provide additional photos for reference, but be sure to identify the one you want the painting based on.

Pet portraits are non-refundable. If there are specifics within your portrait project where a sketch review is required or requested before starting, a $25 sketch review fee will be added. Note that this could delay your portrait timeline, which is generally 4-6 weeks from receipt of photo. 

You will be notified when your portrait(s) are complete and placed in the mail. There is no proofing process for my portrait work, but I love to post the progress of portraits on my Instagram page!

IMPORTANT: These pet paintings are my representation of your pet in my painterly style. While I strive to capture petʼs details and essence as accurately as I can, photo quality and my artistic style may slightly alter pet features. If you have any specific requests pertaining to your portrait prior to me starting your portrait, please list those in the form comment box upon purchasing.

Do’s and Don’ts for a Great Reference Photo

• DO:

  • Use a high-quality photo with ONE light source, preferably outdoor lighting (morning or afternoon tends to be best)

  • Get down on your pet’s level

  • Capture your pet’s personality!

• DON’T

  • Use blurry images or images taken with a flash (or in the dark)

  • Get so close to your pet that you distort perspective

  • Take the photo looking down on your pet
